About SpinPicker
SpinPicker makes fair choices fun. It is a small toolbox of random pickers and decision makers that run entirely in your browser.
What it is
SpinPicker is a spinner wheel and random picker toolbox. Spin a custom wheel, draw a random name, split a group into balanced teams, roll dice, flip a coin, generate numbers, or let a yes or no decider settle a choice. Every tool is free and needs no account.
How it works
Everything runs client side, right in your browser. Nothing you type is uploaded to a server, so your names, rosters, and wheels stay private, and the tools keep working even on a weak connection. Where your browser offers a cryptographic random source, the tools use it so the results are genuinely random and free of bias.
Fairness, and how we show it
Every entry on a wheel gets an equal slice, every name in a draw has the same odds, and every coin flip is a true fifty fifty. There is no weighting and no memory of past results, so nobody can claim a pick was rigged.
Saying that is easy, so we test it and publish the results. Every tool draws from one shared function that uses the browser’s cryptographic random source with rejection sampling, which is what stops a hundred slice wheel from quietly favouring its lower numbers. The fairness page carries chi-squared goodness-of-fit results across 16 million draws, one test per wheel size on the site, plus the code that produced them so you can run it yourself.
Who we build for, and why that choice
The primary audience is classrooms. That is a deliberate narrowing rather than a description of who happens to visit. A classroom name picker processes the names of children, which is why school IT departments ask questions about tools like this one, and it is the one situation where “nothing you type reaches a server” stops being a nice line and becomes the answer to the actual question. Larger competitors with cloud accounts and saved wheels cannot make that claim, not because they are careless but because their architecture rules it out. Ours rules it in. See the classroom page.
Live streaming is the secondary audience, for a related reason: the wheel runs as a transparent OBS browser source with no account and no overlay service between you and it. Everyone else, families settling chores and hosts building teams, is genuinely welcome, but those two groups are the ones the product is shaped around.

Who builds this
SpinPicker is built and maintained by FusionStudios, a web studio in the Netherlands, as one of a small group of free browser tools it runs. There is no venture funding behind it, no growth target and nothing to upsell, which is why there is no account and no paid tier to nudge you toward. Questions, bug reports and requests for a new preset wheel go through the contact form, and everything that ships is listed with a date in the changelog.
