Random Letter Wheel (A to Z)
Spin to land on a random letter from A to Z. Great for word games, name prompts, and spelling practice.
Fair by design: each spin draws from your browser’s cryptographic random number generator, giving every entry an equal 1-in-26 chance. No server is involved.
One entry per line. 26 entries on the wheel.
The entries travel in the part of the link after the #, which browsers never send to a server. Nobody, including us, can read a shared wheel from a log.
Please keep the attribution link on the last line. It is the only thing we ask in return, and it is what pays for the wheel being free.

About the Random Letter Wheel (A to Z)
This wheel comes pre filled and ready to spin. Give it a whirl as is, or edit the entries in the box to make it your own. Every slice has equal odds, so the result is fair each and every time. When the wheel stops, the pointer at the top marks the winning slice.
Nothing you spin is uploaded anywhere. The Random Letter Wheel (A to Z) runs entirely in your browser, and you can save your edits to your own device. When you want your visitors to spin the same wheel, copy the embed code under the wheel and drop it onto your page.
A random letter is the seed for a surprising number of games and prompts. Spin the wheel and use the letter it lands on to start a round of categories, where players name a food, a country, and an animal beginning with it. Writers use it to pick a starting letter for a character name or a story title, and teachers use it for spelling and phonics warm-ups. Because all 26 letters are on the wheel with equal odds, even the tricky ones like Q and Z come up their fair share over a session, which keeps games from getting stale. The letter is displayed clearly after each spin so the whole room can see it at a glance. If you only want vowels, or want to weight the wheel toward common letters, just edit the list in the box and spin again.
The odds on this wheel
There are 26 slices, all the same size, so a given slice wins one spin with probability 1 ÷ 26 = 3.8%. Every spin is independent of the one before it, which means no result is ever due: after ten spins without a particular slice, the chance on the eleventh is still 3.8%.
Across several spins the maths follows the complement rule. The chance of a given slice coming up at least oncein ten spins is 1 − (1 − 1/26)10 = 32.4%. Edit the entry list and every figure here recomputes, because they are derived from the wheel rather than written down beside it.
