Each of the 24 slices wins a spin 1 in 24, or 4.2%. That sounds rare, yet repeats arrive early: by spin 7 the chance that some entry has already come up twice passes 50%, the same maths as the birthday problem. Landing on every one of them, from Japan to Chile, takes about 91 spins on average, which is why a no-repeat round is the quicker way to work through the whole list.
Tips for spinning it in front of a group
- At 15° per slice the labels shrink, so on a projector use Present: the wheel fills the screen and each entry passing under the pointer, Japan through Chile, is shown live in large type. Space or Enter spins and Esc returns to the page.
- Tick Remove after pick and each winner leaves the wheel: 24 spins work through all 24 entries with none drawn twice, and Reset round puts Japan and the rest back.
- To bring one up more often, add a weight to the end of its line, such as "Japan *2": it then lands 8.0% of the time and every other slice 4.0%.

Can I narrow the wheel to one continent or region?
Absolutely. Delete the countries you do not want in the entry box and keep only, say, European or African nations, and the odds split evenly across whatever remains.
